The Crazies Get Jazzy

Happy to say that this week I remembered to post my Crazy4Challenges card here on my blog.  Somehow, last week there was a glitch.  Sorry about that.....

Anyhoooooo.....

This week's Crazy4Challenge challenge is....

Tomorrow is International Jazz Day …. Include some form of music on your card. Music notes; inspired by a song; your favorite musican; music designer paper …. It's up to you!

I used an unmounted saxophone stamp for my image.  I created the background with washi tape.  I die cut the sentiment, the fishtail pendant, and added piercing and a few brads.  This card will be kept for a dear friend's b'day in August who is a fabulous sax player.

Be sure to stop at the Crazies Blog to see the jazzy creations by the rest of the DT and to learn how you too can play along.

CCEE Celebrates Garden Month

Hi....Joanne here with my last challenge for the month of April for the CCEE Stampers Challenge.

When    I    think    of    April    I    also    think    of    flowers….spring    is    here    and    flowers    are    blooming.        That    is    probably    why    April    is    National    Garden    Month.        Make    a    card    that    includes    floral    or    garden    images.

We hope you will play along with us.  If you do, when uploading to SCS please use the keyword CCEE1717.

My iris is a Penny Black image and the border was created with a MS punch.  I also used an MFT banner die, bling, and piercing tools.

Getting Sketchie with the Crazies

Frances is our Crazy4Challenges hostess and she gave us this sketch to play with this week.

As you can see, I played around with the sketch a bit.  I turned it up and made the bid panel a bit skinnier than the sketch.

I used this die from Memoriy Box that had still been a 'virgin'.  I added some piercing at two levels and then  some brads at the corners.

Be sure to stop in at the Crazies Blog to see the fab interpretations of this fab sketch challenge.

Humor Rules the CCEE

Joanne here with the second April challenge for the CCEE Stampers and you.

The    month    of    April    is    National    Humor    Month.        There    are    many    occasions    when    a    funny    image    or    sentiment    can    make    the    day    of    someone    facing    some    type    of    a    challenge    (or    an    ‘aged’    birthday).        Please    make    cards    using    humor.

We hope you will join us with this challenge.  When uploading your card to SCS, please use the keyword CCEE1715.

I used a set by There She Goes for both the image and the sentiment.

Be sure to stop by the CCEE Blog to enjoy the humor of the DT's creations.

Crazy for Zoo Critters

Frances reeturns as our Crazy4Challenges hostess this week.  Here is her challenge for us....

Hi 'Crazy' Fans,

It's Frances here as your challenge hostess for the month with another fun challenge.

Today is Zoo Lovers Day … so for our challenge today let's feature animals on our cards wild or not.

I right away thought of my Sweet n' Sassy set of critters, including this sweet elephant.  The sentiment is from The Little Paper Shop.  I used a matching SNSS die to die cut the image and added some piercing to the border of the base layer.  To a tab made with a SU punch, I added three small heart brads.

Now be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the fab creations using zoo critters.

CCEEers Go on a Road Trip

Hi.  It is Joanne here with the first of the April Challenges for the CCEE Stampers.

The    first    week    of    April    is    called    Read    a    Road    Map    Week.        I    want    you    to    take    a    scenic    road    trip    on    your    card    in    some    way.        Have    fun    with    this!!

We would love for you to join us with this challenge.  Please use the keyword CCEE1714 when uploading it to the Splitcoast galleries.

I used a set from There She Goes Stamps to creat the truck and trailer.  The scenic panel is a Stampscape stamp.  Once again I forgot to write down the company for the sentiment.....I am so bad about that....sorry.

Be sure to check out the CCEE Blog to see the DT's road trip creations.

Crazies Go Wild for Rainbows

..

Frances our challenge hostess from last month, continues to host the challenges this month. Here is her challenge for the Crazy4Challenges DT this week.
Before we get to our challenge for this week we have a few announcements to make. First up we would like to welcome 4 new Design Team members to our team ..... Judy Rozema, Amber Trubiak; Amy Ottmers and Vicki Beall.  These 4 ladies make a wonderful addition to our Design Team and we all look forward to having them play along with us each week.

This month we would like to welcome our Guest Designer for April who is Kristine Reynolds. Kristine is one of our alumni DT members so it is great to have her back playing with us this month.

Now onto this week's challenge ......

Monday  3rd April is Find a Rainbow Day …. So let's make rainbow card this week. Note you don't have to include a real rainbow unless you wish …. Just a card that is multiple colors. It is up to you whether you stick to true rainbow colors or not.

This is actually my second card for this challenge......the first was a bit off and I just wasn't happy with the final results, so off I went to try again.  I had this Penny Black stamp set (flower) out from this week's Color Challenge on SCS and decided to give it a try.  I also used an Avery stamps set with the bow, ribbon, and tag images.  Together I was able to get all the colors of the rainbow in AND this time was pleased with the result.
Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the fabulous rainbow delights created by the design team AND to find out how YOU can play along with us.
