CCEE Play with Their Fav Holiday Stamps

This week's challenge will be our last challenge for 2017 as we all want to take a little time to concentrate on family and friends. Of course we will be back on 4th January to start another year for fun challenges, hope to see you here too!  The challenge for the CCEE Stampers is to make a card with your favorite holiday stamp.  Be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see the favs of this ultratalented and wonderful DT.

I have to honestly say that I have too many fav stamps to really pic one, but since I had to I went with this poinsettia stamp that stands by itself.  I did it previously in gold on white, have colored it in the reds and pinks, and am sure I can find many more ways to use it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
 to you all.....see you 2018!!!!

Crazies Play with the 2017 Sketches

As this is our last challenge of the year, we were challenged to once again use one of the 2017 Crazy4Challenges sketches. I chhose to use the simple June sketch. I tweaked it a bit by putting the sentiment at the bottom of my image panel instead of using a sentiment banner. My image is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. The sentiment is from Penny Black (I think????)

Be sure to stop by the Crazies Blog to see how the rest of the team revisited the sketch challenges of 2017,

Merry Christmas to All......
and Happy New Year,,,,,
see you in 2018 !!!!

Christmas Carol IInspired

Here is today's challenge for the CCEE Stamper's Challenge.....

Welcome to this weeks challenge. At this silly time of the year do you find yourself singing or humming to a song that you have heard. For our challenge this week, take your inspiration from any Christmas Carol.

I did  not record the stamp companies for this card....if you need to know let me know.  My card was based on the song WINTER WONDERLAND.

CCEEers Honor New Beginnings

Here is this week's challenge for the CCEE Stampers Challenge......

As the last of our celebratory month, I would like you
to make a baby card OR a wedding
card......your choice.
(
If you have lots of time, you could make both....lol!!!)

I made a wedding card.  Since you can't really see it well, let me descriibe/help....The die I used is the same one as on the card beelow......but is done white on white.    In place of the sentiment on this card, I die cut the word 'Celebrate' three times and glued each on top of the others to make it stand out even though it again is white one white.  Hopefully that helps you to 'see' the card better through your imagination....lol.....

Be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see the 'new beginnings' cards of the rest of the team.

C4C Readies for the Holiday

Here is the Crazy4Challenges goal for this week......

Karen Aicken here as hostess for our November 2017 challenges.  I'm so happy that Kelly Booth was able to join us as our Guest Designer this month -- you can find here blog HERE.

For my last challenge, this is what I came up with.  “Christmas or Winter Card” - It’s only 1 month until Christmas, so make a Christmas or Winter themed card today to get a jump on your stash. (If you don't celebrate the major winter holidays, remember you can make a project with a winter theme too.)

I went CAS this week....using a retired SU set and keeping it to black and white.

Oooops.....Day and a Half Late for CCEE

II had my CCEE Stampers Challenge card done a long time ago, but forgot to post it here on my blog.  Sorry about that!!!  Here is the challenge for the week....

This week we are going to make a card for our holiday stash.  You can make a Christmas card, a New Year’s card, or a winter card…..whichever you think you need the most for your stash.

I went with a CAS Holiday card.  Had trouble with the photo, but in real life it is an even glow to the embossing.

If you haven't already stopped into the CCEE Blog,, please do so to see the creations of the rest of the team who put up with me onthis DT.

Happy Birthday to ME!!! (And a CCEE challenge)

Well.....Happy Birthday to me!!!!!!  In honor of my special day, this week's CCEE Stampers' challenge is to make a feminine birthday card with flowers.  To celebrate the day with me, let's do a random act of kindness.  Call a friend who might need cheer, pay for someone's coffee, give a hug, .....try to make a difference.

I used a stamp set with multiple layers of color (forget which company).  My main panel was cut with a JustRite die.  This is really a very CAS card.

Be sure to stop in at the CCEE Blog to see the fab feminine b'day cards made by my dear friends on this DT.

Crazy for Veterans/Remembrance Day

Karen Aiken  is the hostess for the Crazy4Challenges DT this week.  Here is here challenge....

“Lest We Forget” In Canada and Australia today is Remembrance Day. From Wikipedia:Remembrance Day (sometimes known informally as Poppy Day) is a
memorial day observed in Commonwealth of Nations member states since the end
of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have
died in the line of duty. Following a tradition inaugurated by King George V in 1919, the day is also marked by war remembrances in many non Commonwealth
countries. Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November in most countries to
recall the end of hostilities of World War I on that date in 1918. Hostilities formally
ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month", in accordance with
the armistice signed by representatives of Germany and the Entente between 5:12 and 5:20 that morning. Include Poppies on your card today, or make a card of gratitude and/or respect.

I must apologize as I can't right now remember the company who made this stamp.  I just love the poppies and the script that are part of its design.  The stamp did have an aged look to the edges which I made a bit more dramatic with sponging and an added black matting.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Poppy Garden of creations at the Crazy's Blog.

The Crazies Layer It Up

A new month, a new hostess, a new challenge for the Crazy4Challenges DT.....and here it is......

Welcome to another Saturday, a new month with a new hostess (me!) and a new Guest Designer. Karen Aicken here, and I'm happy to share that the amazing Kelly Booth is going to be with us all month as our Guest Designer. You can find her blog HERE.

Since making One Layer Cards freak me out, I went to the opposite end of the spectrum with my challenge this week "LAYER IT UP. Go ahead and pile on the layers for your project this week."

II actually used a version of a sketch we used early this year.  The image is from Magenta.  I uused a die to cut the main panel, added a side panel with brads.  I have to say it felt good to make a black and white card again.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the fab layered beauties by the rest of the team.

CCEEers Give Thanks

Hello.....welcome to the CCEE Stampers Challenge.  I, Joanne, am starting my duties as the hostess for the month of November.  Here is my challenge for the DT and YOU, if you want to play along with us.

This month I am going to keep it simple.  The holidays are coming, and times will be busy.  This will be a month of celebrations.  This week I would like you to make a Thanksgiving card OR a card of thanks.

I used a Penny Black stamp and my Misti to create this card using TH distress markers after masking the main panel and sponging in the background.  A true one layer card.......love it when I manage to do that.....

Bonus points if you send your card to someone needing a hug!

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's Frances here again today with another fun challenge!

Did you know that today is "Old Farmers Day" - let's show our appreciation to our farmers by creating something farm related today.

I could not find the farm stamp I wanted to use and had little time so I went CAS......every farm has chicks, right?????  I used this set of image and sentiment from Art Impression, added some layers,  colored with Copics, and I was done.

Crazy for Card Making

It is time for another Crazy4Challenges challenge.....here is Bonnie, our hostess, with her challenge for this week.......

Hi everybody --it's Bonnie Sharp here presenting you with the October challenges. This is my first time doing this so I am really excited!

Today is World Cardmaking Day so my challenge to you is so easy....
MAKE A CARD!!....any design, any shape!!

I decided to play with a new 'toy' this week.  This die is by Little B.  it diecuts the entire panel and embosses the diagonals on the bottom area of the panel.  I decided to make a bold, dramatic card, but I am sure with other colors it would appear more delicate.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the cards made for this occasion by the rest of this DT.  You can also play along with us.

Please use a cake or the colour combo of mint/aqua, coral, gold with white or ivory. Brownie points for doing both!

I incorporated the aqua and color in my Altenew florals and added dots of gold embossing using an old SU set.  I added a touch of piercing on the edge and added the sentiment.

CCEEers Are Toald Dahl Inspired

Kelly is our CCEE Stampers Challenge for September.  Here she is with this week's challenge.....

Kelly here with another challenge this week and
the CCEE Stampers are celebrating Roald Dahl Day!
For challenge #1737,  create a card using any one of his books as your inspiration.
There are so many ~ and as an avid reader,
I hope you find a way to use them in this week's challenge.

I am a long time Roald Dahl fan.  As a middle school teacher, he was an author I could use to get students interested in personal reading.  Each year I read aloud The Witches to my Reading class.  We had many a good time related to this book.

I used a Hero Arts set for both the images and the sentiment.   I made a designer paper panel to place my sentiment piece on the card.  I added some piercing on the top and bottom of the base panel.

Be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see the other Roald Dahl inspired creations.  I'm sure they will be FABULOUS.....

The Crazies Get Glittery

Time for another Crazy4Challenges weekly challenge.....here is Rebecca's challenge for us....

Welcome back to Crazy 4 Challenges! This is Rebecca, your host for this month. Joining me is our special guest for this month, Teresa Kline! Thank for all your entries for my challenge last week! It's awesome to have your support!

Summer water + sunshine always makes me think of glitter! Let's use lots of glitter on our projects this week! You get brownie points if you use more than one colour or use it in more than one way!

I have weak peepers and therefore do not use glitter....don't need any additional eye problems.  In place of glitter I used glitter paper.  I used an ODBD die for my frame.  I cut the center out with a Spellbinder die.  I then used a flower die from Memory Box to cut out the blooms.  Pretty clean and simple, but in real life, the colors do pop a bit more than in this muddy pic.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the glittery creations by the fab members of the DT.

Happy September from the CCEE Stampers!
Kelly here, and I will be the hostess during the month of September.
Saturday (9/9) is Teddy Bear Day ♥
Create a card usnig a bear somewhere on your card for challenge #1736.

I used a Sweet n' Sassy set for both the image and the sentiment.  It is actually a set I have gotten a lot of use from as the animals are sweet and they have matching dies.  I used a die from MFT for my main panel and put that on a bkgd of gingham designer paper.  Pretty CAS.....

Crazy for the Ocean and Sunshine

A new month....a new hostess for the Crazy4Challenges DT......here is Rebecca with her first challenge for September.....

Welcome to all of our fans! It's Rebecca Ednie here, playing hostess this month! I love picking the challenges so I hope you all love what I've chosen!

Please welcome Teresa Kline as our Monthly Guest. I'm sure she would love to have you welcome her on her blog, Paperie Blooms!

I can't let go of summer. Let's make a card or other project using the ocean or beach as inspiration. Shells to sea horses, boats to bat-wing rays, mermaids to minnows, whales to walruses, dolphins to dories (or Dorys), even nautical narwhals; it all works!
Well....anybody who knows me, also knows this was an easy one for me as my happy place is near the ocean. I created my scene by sponging the ocean and the sky.  I then took a sun die and trimmed the rays of the sun from the outer edges on three sides...I then added the sentiment which I think goes perfectly with the scene.

Be sure to stop in at the Crazies Blog to see the sea/beach/shell/ related cards created by the Crazies DT.  We would love for you to play along as well......

CCEEers Stick to One Color

Anne Harmon is back as the August hostess with the mostest for the CCEE Stampers Challenge.  Here is her challenge for us this week.......

I once hostessed a challenge on SCS, asking our fellow crafters to make a one color card, and using only die cuts (you can also use punches).  The results were wonderful.  Let's do that again!

I am still using virgin supplies in my stamp cave....and probably could do so for at least a year or two....lol!!!  When I was out of commission due to surgery, somehow I could still be tempted to buy, buy, buy........!!!  Today I used a die by Creative Expressions (Sue Wilson).  I added a scribbled die cut flower and leaf (my only cheat.....) which are from Ellen Hutson.  This card will probably go to my gift card stash I am building up for birthdays and holidays.

Be sure to check out the monochromatic cards created by this wonderful DT at the CCEE Blog.

Cheers from the Crazies

The inside sentiment says,,,,,
"So relatively speaking you are a spring chicken."

Rachel continues as the Crazy4Challenges August hostess.....and here is her challenge for the week....

This is my last challenge as hostess for the month of August.  I want to thank our guest designer Fran Sabad for playing along with us crazies.

The theme is Back to School!  All the summer fun has come to an end for teachers and students.  Let's make a card to help cheer someone up, any cheerful theme or image will do.

This card is meant to cheer up someone who is reaching a milestone birthday.  The image is from Art Impressions (I think).  The sentiment is from WOW.

Stop in at the Crazies Blog to see some creations that might cheer you up or make you laugh.

CCEEers Create Their Backgrounds

Anne Harmon continues as the CCEE Stampers Challenge hostess for August.  Here is her challenge for this week.....

Make a background using water colors, then finish the card in whatever way you wish.

I watercolored a white piece of cardstock and then added a touch of spray distress ink.  I then used a Tim Holtz corner die along with a 'hello' die cut to finish this off......along with some layers.

Be sure to check out the work of this fabulous team at the CCEE Blog.

Sketch Time with the Crazies

It is the third Crazy4Challenges challenge for the month, so our hostess, Rachel, has a great sketch for us to play with this week.

I flipped the sketch and moved the placement of the sentiment.  I did a spotlighting creation where you only color a section or sections of the image.  I added a sentiment from the same stamp set.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the various interpretations of this week's sketch.

Nautical Creations by the CCEE

Anne Harmon is our hostess with the mostest this month.  Here is her challenge for the CCEE Stampers and YOU......

As the summer draws to a close, make a card with a nautical theme.  This can include the beach if you so desire.

I used a Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set for the image and sentiment.  I dry embossed the background and used designer paper for the horizontal panel.  I uused my Misti to get a nice dark image, and then sponged on the inks.

Be sure to check out the nautical creations at the CCEE Stampers Blog.

Crazies Go Monochromatic

Rachel is back as the August Crazy4Challenges hostess.  Here is her challenge for this week...

.Hello, it's Raquel again.  The theme this month is monochromatic.  The team is making cards that has different shades of one color.

I chose to play with pinks.   I used a stencil to sponge in the big bloom.  I added a birthday sentiment and then pierced around the unstamped edges of the base.

I can't wait to see the monochromatic creations by the rest of this DT.....hope you will travel to the Crazies Blog to see them for yourself.

CCEE Gets Buggy

Anne Harmoon continues as our August hostess for the CCEE Stampers Challenge.  Here is her challenge for this week.....

This week the topic is insects.  My challenge to you is to make a card using bees, dragonflies, any kind of insect.  Be sure to add some stickles to their wings (if they have wings!).

In my neverending quest to use virgin supplies, I managed to use virgins to create all the elements of the card.  I used a die to create the outer frame in gold cardstock.  I also die cut the dragonfly with a SU die.  I heat embossed a Joy stamp for my floral element.  I did NOT use the stickles, but I think the shiny gold cardstock gives a glimmer all its own.

Be sure to check out the insect creations by the rest of this adventurous DT at the CCEE Blog

Crazies Celebrate Summer

A new month of Crazy4Challenges and a new hostess.....here she is with this week's challenges....

It's a new month and that means a new hostess and guest designer. My name is Raquel Mason and I will be your hostess this month.  Our guest designer is Fran Sabad.

Let's kick the month of August off with a Summer Fun challenge!  Let's keep it simple for the summer and make a bright and cheerful card.

When I think of summer, it is definitely the ocean I think about.....thus the topic of my card this week.  The Stamp Oasis grass/sand stamp began the design.  To that I added a masked sun, a templated sky, and a torn paper sponged sea.  I then used a Spellbinder diamond die to cut and emboss the main panel.  In the background I did dry emboss the background with a sandlike pattern.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the summertime creations by the rest of this team.

CCEEers Emboss Away.....

Anne Harmon is the August hostess for the CCEE Stampers Challenge.  Here is her challenge for the first week.....

Hi!  This is Anne Harmon, and I will be your hostess for the month of August.

For our fist challenge, I ask you to use any technique that involves embossing - wet, dry, resist - whatever appeals to you.

I have been trying to use items I bought and never used.  This week I used two virgins......the JustRite die cut and the Ellen Hutson scribble flowers.  The base panel was dry embossed with a floral spray embossing folder.   I also rounded corners with my Marvy ccorner rounder punch and used a sentiment from MFT.

Be sure to check out the fabulous embossed creations by this very talented team at tge CCEE Blog.

According to the days of the year Calendar today is International Tiger Day. Create a card using the colours Orange, Black and White for your theme.

As you can see, I went with the colors.  I first sponged my sky with various distress inks in the honey and orange colors.  I then used my Misti to stamp my Stamp Camp forest image several times to get the black as deep as possible.  I then layered the main image and added the sentiment.
Be sure to check out the tigers and tiger colors on the DT creations at the Crazies Blog.

Maryann continues as our CCEE Stampers challenge this week.  Here is her challenge.....

Another day on the days of the year Calendar is Moon and Space Exploration day, use this theme to inspire your card.

I stayed a bit closer to Earth and went with the moon.  I did masking and sponging to create the sky using my cloud template.  I then stamped the Cornish Heritage Farms tree image and extending its base by sponging black ink.  I layered it, added piercing and a sentiment.

Be sure to go to the CCEE Blog to see the other wordly creations by the rest of the team....most of whom went deeper into space tha I did.

Getting Sketchie with the Crazies

The third challenge of the month is time for a Crazy4Challenges sketch.  Here is my card based on that sketch with a few tweaks.....

I first stamped the water elements (which I extended across the card instead of stopping part way).  I then masked the pink rectangle area and first sponged and then did some final touches with a Copic marker.  I stamped the duckie on a separate piece of cardstock and but it ou, popped it up and then 'floated' it in the water.  Using my Misit I stamped the sentiment several times to make it dark enough.

Now be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the fabulous and creative ways the DT used this same sketch to create so many wonderfully varied cards.

CCEEers Mask It Up

It is time for another CCEE Stampers Challenge.  Here is Maryann with the challenge......

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to another month of  challenges. It's Maryann here and I am your hostess for the month.
Hope you have fun with my challenges.

Create a card using a mask, whether it is using a masking technique of a stamped image of a mask.

I created a one-layer card......always a challenge for me, but something I do like to do.  I masked my rectangular 'panle', sponging on Cool Caribbean ink....I then used Memory Box stencil to add the dots to the background with Bermuda Bay ink.  I then removed the mask and, using my Misti, stamped the Technique Junkies image over and over again to get a truly black image.  I then paper pieced aroung the edges of the card.

Be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see the fab masked creations by the rest of this talented and wonderful DT.

The Crazies Visit the Park

Maryann Einem is our July hostess for the Crazy4Challenges DT.  Here is this week's challenge.....

According to the Days of the year Calendar today is Hop a Park Day - using stamps, dies or both create a scene or something you may see in a park.

Around here, many of our parks are forests withh lots of rocks left by the glaciers.  In the lakes, ponds, and riverways, many people boat, kayak, and swim.

I used image stamps from Stampscape and a sentiment stamp from WOW.

Fairy Day with the CCEE

Frances shares with us her last CCEE Stampers Challenge for June.  Here it is.....

Hi everyone,

Welcome to our CCEE challenge blog. Frances here again with my last challenge for the month.

Saturday the 24th was Fairy Day …. So let's include fairies on our card this week

I used a fairy die from Joanna Sheen along with a sentiment from MFT Stamps.  I sponged the background using a stencil and distress inks.  This was a really easy card to create.
Be sure to stop at the CCEE Blog to peruse the fairy creations by the rest of this wonderfully creative team.

Crazy for Water

Joanne here with the last Crazy4Challenges challenge for June.  Here is you challenge for this week.

Today is Swim a Lap Day, Please include some form of water on your card.....a river, the ocean, a pool, raindrops, puddles, bubbles......it is up to you what form the water takes.

I used a new to me stamp from Technique Junkies for my image, a sentiment from DRS Designs, a cloud template, and a Marvy corner rounder.  I also used my Misti to stamp my image several times to get a deep black image.

Be sure to visit the Crazies blog to see the water creations by the rest of the team.
