Crazies Go on Summer Vacation

I am late in posting this, so, with only a few minutes til posting time, here is the challenge for the Crazy4Challenges DT and YOU this week.....

Hi Crazy Fans!

Barb is back this week with her final challenge for the month. Before we get into the challenge we would also like to thank Lori Tecler who was our Guest Designer for the month.

School will be letting out soon in the US and Summer vacations are being planned. Create a card using a Summer destination theme--could be the beach, the mountains, or simply your back yard in a hammock.

Instead of creating an ocean scene, I went with shells whick to me represent the ocean.  Be sure to visit the Crazies blog to see the vacation ideas of the rest of the team.

Time to Get Sketchie with the Crazies

The third Crazy4Challenges challenge each month is a sketch challenge.  You can see the Crazies sketch HERE.  For some reason I have a hard time grabbing the sketch for my post.

I used a stamp by Christine Adolph along with the sentiment from Paper Smooches.  The inside sentiment is ....'you've just been young for a really long time'......this will be my card for a friend's 80th birthdat.  I used dies from MFT.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the various way this talented team used the sketch.

Crazy for Greens

Here is the Crazy4Challenges challenge for this week....

Hi everyone,
It's Saturday which means it is time for another challenge with the "Crazies".

For our challenge this week Barb tells us ....

This is my birth month and the gem stone for May is the emerald. Use some shade of green on your card—bonus points if it’s emerald green.

I mixed greens in the creation of this card.  I used unmounted, unidentified stamps to create this card.  I masked the areas I wanted to remain white, then stamped the leaves and colored them with Copics.  I then sponged in the bkgd. green color.  I then removed the mask and stamped the sentiment and pierced a frame around the image block.

Be sure to stop in to the Crazies Blog to see the green creations by the rest of the team.

CCEEers Go Wild for Flowers

Lois continues as the CCEE Stampers Challenge hostess for May.  Here is her challenge for this week.......

Lois here again with another challenge.  The second week in May is Wildflower Week.  Let's include some flowers on our cards today.

I used a stamp by Penny Black for my image.  Using my Misti, I kept adding layers of color to the image.  In real life the shades of colors are more evident.  I am still creating cards for gifts, so this will be another for a gift stash.

Be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see the fab creations by the rest of this talented team AND to get the details on how you can play with us.

Crazies Are Thankful for Nurses

Time for another challenge with the Crazy4Challenges DT.  Here is this week's challenge from Barbara who has retired from the Crazies.
.

Today is National Nurses Day in the US. As a retired nurse, this day is special to me and I am forever grateful to all the wonderful nurses I’ve worked with or who have cared for me in some way. My challenge today is to make a thank you card. You can make it nurse or medical themed if you want but it’s not necessary.

I used a sweet nurse stamp from Penny Black.  I kept it simple and left the sentiment off.  This was supposed to be a thank you card, but I think I will use it more as a get well card.  However, I am sure the Crazies will forgive me as we are a flexible, low drama group.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blog to see the fab thank you/medical cards made by the DT and to get details on how you  can play along with us.

CCEEers Honor Candied Orange Peels

\Lois is our hostess for the month of May.  Here is her challenge for the CCEE Stampers this week.....

Hi, Lois here to start my month as hostess for the CCEE challenges.  I found a weird celebration to start off the month.  May 4th is National Candied Orange Peel Day.  To celebrate, let's include the color ORANGE (which just happens to be one of my favorites!) on our cards.

I used  Penny Black set for my CAS card today for the flowers.  My Misit came in handy for the layering of colors on my flowers..  I added a die cut sentiment.

If you are ready for an orage-bright dazzle, be sure to visit the CCEE Blog.  You will also learn how you can play along with us.
