Crazies Extend Sumpathy/Support

Here is the challenge for the Crazy4Challenges DT this week.....

Make
a Sympathy or Support/hope card. By support/hope card I
mean for someone with a very serious illness or who isn’t likely
going to survive their illness. Or for the family of that person.
These are sad, serious cards to have to make but they are good
to have in your stash. It’s unfortunate but you never know when
you might need it.

I kept my card simple.  I used a Spellbinders frame die.  I then added a branch image from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps.  The sentiment is from MFT.

Be sure to stop by the Crazies blog to see the sympathy, support cards created by the rest of the team.

CCEEers Are Cool

Here is the CCEE Weekly Stampers Challenge from our hostess, Lynn....

Here it is the last Thursday of July, and the calendar says it is National Refreshment Day!

One way to beat the heat of summer is with a cold refreshment. Do you cool down with a glass of lemonade, a rainbow snowcone, an ice cream cone, a cold bottle of beer, or something else? Whatever it may be, share with the CCEE Stampers your favorite cool-down treat in your design this week.
I intended to do a popsicle ir uce cream card, but a multitude of phone calls interupted my time in the stamp cave so I had to go more simply.......so......I used this old set of watermelons from Flourishes.  /the sentiment is also from the same set.  I embossed the vertical panel with a swirl embossing folder, added paper piercing around the edge of the base, and used a Cottage Cutz die to cut my image panel.

Be sure to stop in at the CCEE Blog to see the cool refreshments portrayed by the rest of the team.  Here in CT we need some cooling refreshments....the humidity is so thick that you have to make a tunnel through it as you go outside.....(not really, but it feels that way....lol)

Sketch Week with the Crazies

It is the third week of the month,, so the Crazy4Challenges DT has a sketch to play with this week.

I kep it pretty simple.  I stamped the branches from Altenew in two different green of the main panel and then added a sentiment from MFT.  I used a Spellbinder set to diei cut my layers.  I added dry embossong to the base card to give some texture to the design.

Be sure to stop in at the Crazies Blog to see the varied and creative ways the DT members used this singular sketch.

CCEEers Go to the Zoo

It is time for another CCEE Stampers Challenge.  Lynn, our hostess, has a great challenge for us.  Here it is.....

Hello to all our CCEE followers! Lynn here to share with you this week's challenge.

Back in the day when I was a young mother, one of the first trips I planned during the summer break from school was a day at the zoo for my son and his cousins. We all loved watching the crazy antics of the animals. This week in honor of zookeepers' week, I am challenging you all to include at least one (more if you want) zoo animal on your card.

I used a curcus set from MFT for my animals and a sentiment also from another MFT set.

I had originally intended this to be a one layer card so I masked and created the horizontal layer with sponging, but then I 'dirtied' the cardstock and had to forget the truly CAS version.  Oh well....that is all a part of the creative process.

Be sure to visit the ZOO at the CCEE Blog.

Crazies Get in Shape

It is time for another Crazy4Challenges challenge.....here is Rebecca, our hostess, with her challenge....

Welcome back to the Crazy 4 Challenge blog! Rebecca Ednie here again and I'd like to say 'Thanks!' to everyone who played along last week! So many great takes on 'windows'.

This week, the team and I are making SHAPED CARDS. Any shape other than a plain circle, rectangle or square. So many fun options! Really any shape can become a card. Just cut the shape and add a rectangle or circle (or whatever) shaped card base behind it! If it doesn't fit perfectly, just trim the card base to match!

Don't forget about my giveaway for anyone participating this month! Read more about it HERE.

Mine is a simple design with the emphasis on the shape.  Did lots of die cutting, but very little stamping.

Be sure to visit the Crazies Blgo to see the shapely creations by this fabulous DT.

CCEEers Keep It Simple

It is Thursday and the day for a new CCEE Stampers Challenge from our hostess, Lynn.....and here it is......

It's Lynn back again to share with you the second July challenge.

July 12 has been declared National Simplicity Day in honor of Henry David Thoreau who was a devoted advocate of living a life of simplicity. So on this lazy day of summer it's time to simplify. My challenge to you is to create a clean and simple one layer card!
This is truly a clean and simple card.....the kind of card that used to frustrate me, but now makes me smile.

Be sure to visit the CCEE Blog to see the simple creations by this wonderful team of stampers and friends.

CCEEers Conquer The Impossible Card

Lynn is our hostess for the CCEE Stampers Chalenges for the month of July....here is her challenge for this week.....

Hi, friends. Lynn McAuley here! I will be hosting the CCEE Challenges for the month of July and hope that you will want to join in on the fun.

Suddenly I am seeing the Impossible Card popping up everywhere I turn. This new fun fold is based on a famous card trick so it isn't really all that new! I thought it would be great if the CCEE Stampers put their own "twist" on this design with their creations this week.

Here is a link to a tutorial by Maymay Made It Crafts that will show you what it is all about! It demonstrates the Impossible Card in several varied sizes.

First thng I must do is to apologize for my lousy photo.....I had  a very hard time getting a pic of this card.  I finally had to lighten it, takiing away the richness of the actual colors....OH WELL....

I actually found this style of 'fancy fold' very easy and loved adding the rounded corners.  I used an Altenw set for the rose and a die for the skeleton leaves.  The sentiment is from an MFT set.  I added a touch of paper piercing on the sentiment panel.

Be sure to sstop at the CCEE Blog to see the fab cards created with the impossible card technique.
